7 Worst Wrestling Match Stipulations In WWE Extreme Rules History
4. Kiss Me Arse Match
Okay, were getting stuck in to the worst of the worst now.
The 2015 Extreme Rules show saw Dolph Ziggler take on Sheamus in a match straight out of Vince McMahons joke book; a dialectally astute Kiss Me Arse matchthe loser of which would, naturally, be forced to pucker up and plant their lips on the backside of the victor.
But other than that ridiculous stipulation, this was basically just your everyday, run-of-the-mill match-up. They did manage to use Sheamus bully-the-smaller-guys gimmick to tell a fairly decent story, but there was a distinct lack of the kind of extremeness that youd expect from this particular PPV.
And unlike a hair vs. hair match, or a loser leaves town match, the pay-off is a little too tongue in cheek to be taken all that seriously (or perhaps that should read tongue on cheek). Sure, its demeaning and it does give the loser a motivation for revenge, but its the kind of slapstick comedy that just reminds you that wrestling is, at the end of the day, kind of stupid.
Oh and on top of that, it was Zigglerthe victorwho would eventually do the kissing after Sheamus refused to comply, so none of it mattered anyway. Great.
