7 WWE Tag Teams You Totally Forgot Existed

1. The Headhunters AKA The Arabian Butchers Managed By Jim Cornette

The Headhunters were a tag team comprised of twin brothers that were simply named Headhunter A and Headhunter B. Real creative, right? They both weighed about 350 pounds. They were one of the biggest tag teams that competed in the 1990s although their run in WWE was so brief that most people don't even remember they were there. During the June 30, 1997 edition of Raw, there was a tag match that Owen Hart & the British Bulldog won over the Headbangers in a tag team title tournament. After the Hart/Bulldog win, Jim Cornette did a promo ripping them because he was mad that they dumped him as their manager. Cornette sent out these two large men to attack. The attack was awful as they barely did anything and then the Headbangers got into the ring as well. One of the big guys got involved with Bulldog, who was trying to bodyslam him. The big guy wasn't interested in that, but then Bulldog made it happen. Bulldog took a shot from a Headbanger and then left the ring and so did Hart. The Headhunters went on to attack the Headbangers. Weren't they there to get Hart & Bulldog? They just let them leave without doing anything. They weren't given a name for their appearance (Vince McMahon on commentary just said "whoever they are") although in doing the research about them it mentioned they were going to be called the Arabian Butchers. They had on those curved boots that The Iron Sheik used to wear as well as The Sultan among others. That was their only televised appearance as a duo. They were also in the 1996 Royal Rumble because WWE was so thin on talent, but they used the names Squat Team #1 and Squat Team #2. This appearance was different because they didn't have face paint like they did elsewhere. What happened to The Headhunters or Arabian Butchers in WWE? Nobody really knows. It looked like Bulldog didn't want anything to do with the angle since he did a bodyslam and then just left, which killed the idea of these two guys as power wrestlers. Due to the fact that they only had one televised appearance as a duo they are definitely a tag team that a lot of us completely forgot in WWE.
