7 WWE Tag Teams You Totally Forgot Existed

2. Tekno Team 2000

Tekno Team 2000 was a short lived WWE tag team from the mid 1990s. The team consisted of Travis (Chad Fortune) and Troy, who was Erik Watts - son of promoter/booker Bill Watts. You would think that a team that was supposed to be young, hip and cool would have more creative name than Travis & Troy, but that's all WWE could come up with for them. They started in WWE in 1995, beat a lot of bad tag teams along the way, then they went away and came back in 1996. It looked like they might get a push of some kind upon their return, but that didn't happen. All they were really were supposed to be was an eccentric babyface team although they really didn't show much in the way of personality. They were also taller than a lot of their opponents, so it didn't make them look like underdog babyfaces at all. The soundtrack was supposed to be futuristic too. It sounded pretty bland actually. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT0mAY3j8oE Tekno Team 2000 should have been the kind of cool tag team that fans could get behind and cheer, but they were never able to get on the right track because of how stupid the gimmick was. There just wasn't anything that was exciting about them. Nothing at all.
