8 Problems WWE Solved With The 2018 Superstar Shake-Up

7. NXT's Roster Bloat

Things were looking a tad crowded down in WWE's developmental brand a few weeks ago, leaving little scope for the swathes of hungry young wrestlers locked in the Performance Center to ever make it to television. Fortunately, those issues have now been alleviated.

It started prior to the Shake-Up. Ember Moon, The Authors Of Pain, No Way Jose, and The IIconics all joined the main roster after WrestleMania 34. It continued this week, with Andrade 'Cien' Almas, Drew McIntyre, and Sanity all making the jump, which not only refreshes the talent pool on their new shows, but clears the deck down in NXT.

There's now plenty of room for newcomers like Ricochet and EC3 to get their share of airtime. In the women's division, Moon's departure should allow Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane to ascend, while War Raiders will prosper with the Authors and Sanity gone.

Granted, these performers would've been pushed anyway, and NXT is still tightly packed, but there are only so many opportunities on a show that barely breaks 50 minutes most weeks. For now, this is a significantly smaller concern.
