Could Raw keep up the momentum?

So, do we have a trend with WWE putting on good episodes of Raw, or has the show’s run of solid episodes ended at two? Raw kicked off the New Era a couple weeks ago and highlighted different stars while putting on a really fun couple weeks of programming. But the pressure was high on Monday night, with a third good episode on the line.

WWE put out a serviceable episode that was decent enough, and even found room to set up some SummerSlam matches, but it missed out on being a blowaway like the reboot or pretty good like last week. Instead, color this week’s Raw as serviceable. We saw the two men in the feud to crown the first WWE Universal Champion trade promos against each other, leaned that New Day might be down their muscle, and were left wondering whether Cesaro would ever break through.

And of course, we learned once and for all that wins don’t matter, even if an authority figure is pitting two guys against each other to determine a top contender. Instead, focus on who leaves the biggest impression. That’s far more important than anything else. (This seriously happened on Monday.)

So, what moments were Instagram worthy, and which ones should have been kept out of the public eye? Let’s get to it…

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
