8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 2nd)
Is the Bullet Club fracturing already?
After a day of reflection, its probably better to think of Payback as two separate events. Theres everything that happened before the McMahons and main event took place, and then theres that circus. Before the wheels fell off the PPV, WWE had a really solid event going, with multiple excellent matches. But the McMahon talkfest and overbooked main event really dragged everything down.
WWE largely avoided those two issues Monday night, putting on a pretty decent episode of Raw, with Stephanie and Shane McMahon managing to co-GM the program without it leading to disaster yet. There wasnt much offensive about Raw, but aside from an excellent opening match, there wasnt much to write home about either. A new era is simply not a John Cena-free Raw with new superstars running around putting on good matches. A new era also has to include good storylines, smart booking and entertaining television
Perhaps WWE will get there soon, but dont lose sleep over it. At this stage, if things make sense and theres more positive than negative about Raw, then well take it. A new era will have to wait until theres a drastic shift in how Raw is presented, not just a new authority figure.
So what is running Raw and what is getting demoted, Lets get to it
