8 Wrestlers John Cena Didn't Bury

Super Cena does lose... sometimes.

John Cena is, without a doubt, the most divisive wrestler to ever step foot in a WWE ring.

Women and children adore the 15-time world champ, while the majority of male wrestling fans cannot stand the sight of him. Cena's matches are generally greeted by a combined chorus of boos and cheers with those infamous duelling chants of "Let's Go Cena/Cena sucks!"

Much of the anger directed towards Cena comes from his status as the unbeatable superman atop the card and he has an unfortunate habit of halting the upward momentum of other superstars and burying younger wrestlers with his Super Cena routine.

The Nexus, Zack Ryder, Bray Wyatt, Rusev and many more have been on the unfortunate end of this. However, in recent years, Cena appears to have turned over a new leaf and, on occasion, he has lost clean to WWE superstars. The power of a win over Cena should not be underestimated and most who were handed that chance went on to bigger and better things.

Here's eight WWE superstars who John Cena did show respect.

8. The Great Khali

The Great Khali. Remember him?

Khali came during a particularly odd period in WWE. Despite him having basically no in-ring skills, Vince McMahon was determined to push the Indian star all the way to the moon because look at the size of him. Vinny Mac can't get enough of that. And, boy, did WWE do everything they could to try and get Khali over. He beat the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, Batista and Ric Flair. This happened and we all let it happen.

And in June 2007, at Saturday Night Main Event, Khali even pinned John Cena. In a completely one-sided and dominant match, Khali slowly battered Cena and then pinned him by placing one foot on his chest. It's the kind of booking call which you look back on now and wonder if it actually really ever happened. Cena had never before or since (with one obvious exception) been dominated to this extent in WWE.

Khali is perhaps the anomaly on this list. While the other seven superstars who beat Cena went on to do great things, poor Khali was so useless in the ring that his stock only continued to fall from this point on.
