8 Wrestlers John Cena Didn't Bury

7. Randy Orton

Along with Cena, Randy Orton was the golden boy and the apple of WWE management's eye, with both clearly destined for big things when they broke onto the scene in 2002. Unlike Cena, however, Orton was not so professional backstage which stalled his momentum while Cena's career went from strength to strength.

Still, their careers paralleled one another's, with both becoming huge stars for the company and each winning multiple world championships.

Inevitably then, the two OVW graduates have come together to feud on more than one occasion. While the feud between the two biggest stars of their era was never quite as epic as WWE would have liked it to be, it still produced some good matches with Orton getting the better of Cena on several occasions.

Most notably, Orton pinned Cena clean inside Hell in a Cell in 2009 and defeated him in a TLC match in 2013 to (briefly) unify the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships. By allowing him several big wins over Cena, WWE have instilled in the audience's minds that Orton is a top, top guy.
