8 WWE Legends Who Got One Over On Vince McMahon

No chance in hell? These guys beg to differ.

Don't cross the boss. This is the message to all WWE employees. Vince McMahon rules with an iron fist and will not idly stand by if he thinks somebody is taking him for a ride. He is a large, intimidating man and has the power to make or break careers. Get on the wrong side of Vince and you could be finished in the wrestling industry. He is that powerful. Vince has displayed this power on numerous occasions, from screwing Bret Hart in Montreal to humiliating many WWE performers on his global television shows. The scariest thing about Vince is that he knows just how powerful he is and he enjoys exerting that power over others. Just ask Jim Ross, who was a player in the WWE but routinely found himself in uncomfortable situations just because Vince thought it was funny. But not everyone will sit back and let Vince walk all over them. There are many instances of wrestlers standing up to Vince and telling him 'no'. Often times, these people are punished but, on occasion, they manage to beat Vince at his own game. Deep down, Vince respects those who have the balls to stand up to him and tell him where to go. It shows character and Vince appreciates a strong character as much as anyone. But when wrestlers end up taking on Vince and visibly winning, he is not so understanding. Wrestlers have been suspended, sued and fired, never to return because they had the gall to take Vince on.
