Are WWE Building Towards Kurt Angle's In-Ring Return?
Speculation is rampant following a teasing segment on this week's Raw.
Last night's WWE Raw featured an ambiguous segment in which Corey Graves revealed some potentially damaging information to Kurt Angle. It saw Graves abandon his position in the announce booth to show the General Manager a text he'd received calling Kurt "a disgrace and an embarrassment to WWE," which left Angle aghast.
While Graves stayed tight-lipped on his source, Angle stated "if this is true, it could ruin me," and the announcer later told Michael Cole that the situation was private after returning to commentary.
The segment looks like the start of a new storyline for the GM, and has naturally led to speculation on what it may lead to. A big theory currently doing the rounds is that the story could be the start of the build towards Angle's in-ring return, which has been rumoured since his WWE Hall Of Fame induction was announced in January.
The former Olympian has continually refused to dismiss the prospect of wrestling for WWE again, and with Stephanie McMahon set to return to television imminently, there's a chance she could be part of any storyline to get Kurt back in the ring.
