Batista Critcises Brock Lesnar Ending The Undertaker's Streak

The Animal shoots on the WWE while promoting Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Dave Batista has told The Huffington Post that he wasn't a fan of Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker's streak. "It sucked! Honestly, I thought it sucked" The Animal stated. His biggest issue was with WWE's decision making. He lambasted the booking as not making any sense, commenting that "Brock Lesnar beating him didn't seem to work and it really wasn't good that Brock left the day after. I just don't see how that made sense at all." This isn't the first time that Batista has criticised his employer. He infamously ranted about the poor state of the Smackdown locker room in an interview with The Sun in 2005. That caught him some heat with WWE veterans and management. He's now risked that same sort of friction by criticising WWE's creative over the streak. "I think it was a bad decision, a horrible decision [...] it made me sick." That sort of unrestrained attack on Lesnar's victory was compounded with controversial comments on The Shield's breakup. "I don't think they were ready. I don't think they're ready to fly solo," Batista opines. "So It remains to be seen, I think they're all talented but to me Dean was the star of that group. I think Roman looks like the star of that group but I don't think he's nearly as talented as Dean." Batista was speaking to The Huffington Post in the UK, as part of his promotion for Guardians Of The Galaxy. Batista plays Drax in the movie, which will be released to theatres on August 1st. Following the film's promotional duties, he is expected to return to the WWE in the autumn.
