Batista Quits WWE But Not Before A Final Dig At Fans
Batista was scripted out of WWE storylines at this week's Monday Night Raw. The show opened with Evolution coming to the ring and leader Triple H stating that Evolution wasn't done with The Shield. That upset Batista who said he had taken enough with The Shield and now wanted the WWE title shot he was originally promised. Hunter wasn't about to grant the shot and with both men on different pages it led to Batista saying "I quit." The Animal then walked out of WWE to a chorus of "Yes" chants. It ends a miserable six month run for Batista, who originally re-signed with WWE under the promise he would be pushed as a major babyface champion. Reality conspired against the star, fans turned on him, making him the scapegoat for WWE's failure to use Daniel Bryan correctly. It has led to what seems to be a great amount of resentment from Batista to the internet wrestling fan community. He ends his run with this frustrated tweet about Sunday's match at Payback -
"6 guys go 2 war and beat the sh*t out of each other and what do the genius smarks walk away with?"Batista wore blue! What a loser!" #dips*its"
He will now leave for an indefinite period of time as he promotes his role in summer blockbuster movie 'Guardians Of The Galaxy.' The assumption is that once the film is out of the way, Batista will resume his part in WWE, with a two year contract being reported when he re-signed in January.
