Batista Unhappy With WWE - Refuses Daniel Bryan Match At Payback

WWE have been trying to convince Batista to wrestle Daniel Bryan at the Payback PPV, reports Wrestling Observer Radio. The match is in doubt however as Batista isn't keen on sticking around for the next few months. Reportedly, he is unhappy with how plans changed over the WrestleMania season and pay being lower than he expected for main eventing the show. Dave Meltzer states that 'The Animal' could work TV this week, but will then be taking out of storylines a month earlier than originally planned. "I heard stuff as the day was going on that they were trying to talk him into the (Payback) main event with Daniel Bryan," Meltzer said on the radio show. "That was the idea, but he was negative on it." There's still a chance WWE and Batista could work things out to do the Bryan Payback match, but given the Extreme Rules results, it seems unlikely. Batista was pinned clean in the ring last night by Roman Reigns. The Daniel Bryan vs Kane ending also indicated that Kane is unfinished with Bryan, the Big Red Machine stood up after last night's title match and stared Bryan down. It looks like it will be a Bryan vs Kane rematch at Payback instead of Batista. It goes almost without saying that Bryan vs Batista would have been a way better headline match for Payback. Batista obviously feels as if his WWE run isn't working out how he envisioned, so he has now done what WWE did to him at WrestleMania, he has changed the planned direction. "He was promised certain things and they weren't happening," Meltzer says, "He is meant to be coming back eventually, but he's telling people he isn't thrilled. "The company can't be happy with him, as well as him not being happy with the company. They were not happy with him changing their plan for the next pay per view."
