CM Punk's 10 Best WWE Matches

There's a reason he called himself " The Best in the World".

It is now official. CM Punk is no longer an employee of the WWE. CM Punk's contract from the company has expired and he is now a free man. CM Punk came into the WWE in 2005 making his main roster debut in 2006. From that point onward, he would gain millions of fans that admired his rebellious attitude towards authority and much more. More importantly though, CM Punk is arguably one of the best wrestlers to have stepped foot inside the squared circle in the last decade or so. There's a reason he calls himself " The Best in the World", because he really is that good. Sadly, CM Punk's run in WWE ended so abruptly as he quit without saying a proper goodbye. The only type of goodbye CM Punk said to his fans was only thanking them on Twitter. It would have been better if he retired with a speech in the ring, but that's unlikely to happen anytime soon. For now, we take a look back at CM Punk's impressive WWE career. It was difficult choosing which matches propelled his career the most, however the matches are all entertaining that's for sure.

10. Money In The Bank - WrestleMania XXIV

WrestleMania 23 was CM Punk's WrestleMania debut. He had a good showing in the match, but nobody really expected him to win. It was a star-studded match for sure, but useless Mr Kennedy won the match. One year later however, CM Punk's popularity grew and WWE capitalized on this. Thanks to Jeff Hardy's suspension, CM Punk was given the opportunity to win WrestleMania XXIV's Money in the Bank to propel his career to new heights. The match itself is always entertaining to watch and the outdoor setting made it even more special. Money in the Bank matches overall are always entertaining and this one was no different. Shelton Benjamin's crash onto the ladder on the outside is still painful to watch to this day. Matt Hardy's run-in to attack MVP is also a fun moment to reminiscence. CM Punk winning in the end was fresh and the fans loved every minute of it. He then went on to cash his briefcase on Edge to win his first World Heavyweight Title. It didn't last long, but it showed to the world why he's a main event player.
