WWE star Roman Reigns will not be investigated by the DEA authorities over allegations that he purchased steroids from a jailed gym owner, says TMZ.

The 32-year-old was named by Richard Rodriguez, a purported drug dealer, in a YouTube interview conducted by documentary filmmaker Jon Bravo earlier this month. His name featured on a list of alleged clients, alongside those of actors Mark Wahlberg and Josh Duhamel.

But America's Drug Enforcement Agency has reportedly told media that it is strictly concerned with apprehending so-called "kingpins" like Rodriguez. As such, those accused of buying from them are generally not on their radar.

Meanwhile, Roman has now issued his own statement denying any involvement in the Miami-based racket. The reigning Intercontinental Champion told Pro Wrestling Sheet, "I have never heard of Richard Rodriguez or Wellness Fitness Nutrition."

Addressing his WWE wellness policy violation in June 2016, the former aspiring football player added, "I learned from the mistake I made nearly two years ago and paid the penalty for it. Since then, I’ve passed 11 tests as part of WWE’s independent drug testing program."
