Holding Out For A Hero

As ordered by a returning Stephanie McMahon on the October 30th edition of Monday Night Raw, Kurt Angle will wrestle yet again on pay-per-view as he leads his red brand superstars into battle against a SmackDown Live! crew currently stewarded by Randy Orton.

'The Billion Dollar Princess' made her first appearance on the flagship show since tumbling through a table at WrestleMania 33 to heap scorn on the General Manager for allowing last weeks all-out assault from Shane McMahon's army to occur.

It'll be the second time in as many months the Olympic Gold Medalist has competed, after donning The Shield's riot gear as substitute for Roman Reigns at Tables, Ladders and Chairs.

Demanding 'total annihilation' of their Tuesday rivals, Raw Commissioner McMahon implied that Angle may find himself unemployed if the red brand aren't successful at the Thanksgiving classic, which could hint at a bigger return for the multi-time WWE Champion.

Kurt had spoken on the record about his desire to still compete upon returning to the company as a Hall-Of-Famer, and this recent spate of activity may convince WWE higher-ups that the 'Wrestling Machine' could still reliably perform at the very highest level. With the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania on the horizon, there's potentially no better time for Angle to be lacing his boots up and pulling his straps down.
