Kurt Angle Clarifies WWE Return Rumours

This week has been full of conflicting reports on the future of former WWE Champion Kurt Angle. The week began with word leaking that WWE had reached out to a number of former talents to return to the company for the upcoming brand-split.
Kurt Angle was contacted just before the brand split came to being, with Angle himself saying that he spoke with Triple H six weeks ago. Angle gave the impression on the Mark Madden radio show in Pittsburgh that his WWE return was a matter of "when" and not "if."
On Thursday, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that his sources within WWE have now claimed that Angle will not be returning to the company. Angle himself felt the need to respond to these reports, posting the following on his Facebook page:
“In response to some of your questions today regarding the WWE, and all of the media fanfare about it the last few days, I want to, once again, say that our confidential conversation never discussed the brand split. A few wrestling sites seem to have put a spin on this by twisting some words around to fit their agenda, something that I have no control over. What I CAN control is my own life, and my life isn’t only wrestling. I do not expect to be in wrestling much longer. I AM excited about my future. Thank you.”
It has been about a decade since Angle last wrestled for WWE, and his own statement which reads "I do not expect to be in wrestling much longer" seems to further dash any hope of a return to WWE.
