Kurt Angle has had talks with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon about a potential wrestling return. In an interview with AlternativeNation.net, the Olympian revealed several key insights into the conversations he'd had with McMahon. Things that we discovered included that the wrestler and the chairman had an honest chat about the way they parted in 2006. This appears to have put to bed any hostilities between the pair. "As long as Vince and I dont have any issues, Im okay with that," Angle comments on the meeting. He also revealed his surprise at seeing how much McMahon has scaled back his work, with Triple H now responsible for many of the main duties. "Triple H is pretty much running the show now. I didnt know that, I really believed that Vince would always run the show until the day he died." However, the outcome of these talks wasn't clear. Angle said he would be signing with somebody, but wouldn't comment on his next wrestling destination. That means his WWE talks may have gone either wa. Industry experts like Dave Meltzer have previously speculated that Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling is more of a realistic destination for the physically broken down Angle. The 45 year old Olympian did say the WWE Hall Of Fame would be "an option" and an honour, but also said that it wouldn't be the end of the world if he wasn't ever inducted. Angle also talked about TNA. Commenting on Dixie Carter, he said "She just knows that the next deal that they sign really has to help benefit TNA, in every regard." He also revealed his admiration for Vince Russo. "I love Vince Russo, thats my personal opinion. Vince knew my value, he obviously made me the big topic of the show, he evolved everything around me." Despite the WWE talks, Angle's future remains up in the air. His comments to AlternativeNation can be judged as either a positive or negative sign to fans wanting to see him back in the major league. "I cant really say who Im going with yet or what company Im going to sign with. I am going to sign, but Im going to just sign for 1 year, and thats that. I think Im pretty much done, Im just going to have the best year I can have."
