Another Twitter tease from the tag wrestling legend.

Matt Hardy's name has been all over wrestling media lately, with news of his declining physical condition leading to rumours he may soon be forced into a premature retirement.

Though he's currently off television for the foreseeable future, Hardy worked his first house shows since August this weekend, teaming with Deleters Of World partner Bray Wyatt to face The B-Team and Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.

They lost every bout, and Matt tweeted the following after Sunday's show in Biloxi, Mississippi:-

Unless the 43-year-old was teasing his retirement in the city of Biloxi (which would be a weird, weird move), it sounds like he's about to lay his Woken character to rest. A shame, even though the gimmick hasn't hit the same heights it did in Impact, where Matt became a viral sensation after concocting one of the most bizarre reinventions in modern wrestling history.

Still, WWE don't exactly have a shining track record when it comes to promoting characters devised elsewhere, particularly those as nuanced as the Broken Universe was. Its failure was, perhaps, inevitable, and if we see Matt again, it'll likely be as a vanilla Hardy.
