While it may have missed out on WWE WrestleMania 41, Minneapolis, Minnesota has now been confirmed to host SummerSlam 2026. Not just will that SummerSlam emanate from Minneapolis' US Bank Stadium, but the Premium Live Event will be a two-night event.

WWE announced this news today, revealing that SummerSlam 2026 will take place on Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August. This will be the first PLE/PPV from Minneapolis since 2019's TLC show, and will also be the first time WWE has ever run a stadium event in the city.

On this news, WWE EVP Talent Relations & Head of Communications Chris Legentil enthused:

"US Bank Stadium is an absolutely world-class venue, situated in a city with rich wrestling history and an amazing fan base. We're excited to bring two nights of SummerSlam to Minneapolis in 2026."

Chair of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority Michael Vekich added:

"US Bank Stadium is honored to host WWE's SummerSlam on Minnesota's biggest stage in 2026. We look forward to providing a warm welcome and best-in-class experience at US Bank Stadium for WWE Superstars, staff, fans, and guests."

Home to the Minnesota Vikings NFL team, the 73,000 capacity US Bank Stadium was previously the favourite to host WrestleMania 41. After months of reports of Minneapolis leading the charge to land next year's Mania, that 2025 edition of the Showcase of the Immortals has since been announced as heading to Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium.
