Originally set for San Jose, California on the weekend of 8 June, WWE's next big NXT TakeOver show is set to be rescheduled to make room for the promotion's upcoming return to Saudi Arabia.

This is according to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer. He has noted that with WWE set to return to KSA on Friday 7 June, the company felt the need to reshuffle their upcoming events, as TakeOver: San Jose would have taken place the night after the big Middle Eastern event.

Meltzer states that the current plan is to postpone the TakeOver event until later in the month, with the following week looking likely. The announcement is expected to be made during this Wednesday's set of TV tapings.

TakeOver: San Jose isn't the first major show to be moved in light of WWE's anticipated return to Saudi Arabia. Last week brought news that the Backlash pay-per-view, originally set for 16 June, had been pushed back a week. This was done to prevent a logjam of PPV events, even though WWE are yet to officially announce the next Saudi Arabian show themselves, despite it appearing on a leaked schedule.
