Piper Niven Gets New Ring Name, Turns Back On Eva Marie On WWE Raw

Say "goodbye" to Piper Niven, and hello to... (yes, it's as dumb as you think it is)

Doudrop.

That is the new WWE ring name of the wrestler formerly known as Piper Niven, as confirmed on last night's Raw.

One week after the announce team played dumb on Niven's identity, pretending not to know who the Scot is despite her four-year association with the company, Piper was introduced as "Doudrop" in a backstage interview with Kevin Patrick. Cut off by Eva Marie (who confirmed the new monicker) when asked for her name, Doudrop looked shocked by the reveal.

This preceded a tag team bout pitting Doudrop and Eva Marie against Naomi and Asuka, with Money in the Bank qualification on the line. Eva was evasive throughout, tagging Doudrop in against her will early on, then tagging herself in later on. When Eva wanted to get out of there later on, Doudrop decided she'd had enough of her partner's tomfoolery, shook her head, and jumped down from the apron.

Naomi then got the roll-up for the victory, leaving Eva stunned.

Fightful Select reported last week that WWE had discussed either "Dew Drop" or "Doudrop" as Niven's potential new ring name. For now, they are going with the latter.
