Piper Niven debuted alongside Eva Marie on last night's episode of WWE Raw, cruising to a straightforward victory over Naomi after taking Eva's pre-advertised spot in the match.

Fightful Select reported prior to the show that Niven's big Raw debut almost didn't make it onto the show. While it was reportedly on the cards as of the weekend, WWE ended up changing things up, before eventually deciding to reinstate the angle.

The outlet notes that Niven was due to show up with a new ring name and persona on Raw. This didn't quite come to fruition, such is the volatile nature of WWE's planning processes.

Instead of referencing her established monicker or unveiling a new one, WWE opted to have its Raw announcers play dumb instead, with Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton seemingly unaware of a wrestler who debuted for the company all the way back in 2017.

Niven wasn't mentioned by name, with the commentators playing up the "mystery" angle. Bizarre, given the former Viper has been an NXT UK full-timer for several years.

So what is Niven's new ring name going to be? Fightful have been told that "Dew Drop" or "Doudrop" have been thrown around.

Dew. Drop.

Cool!

WWE's writeup of the show refers only to Eva's "mysterious cohort." This suggests that the promotion hasn't yet settled on what it wants to call Niven on Raw.
