Rebooking WWE Unforgiven 1999 - 9 Ways To Make It Better

5. Kane (With Chyna) Vs. Jeff Jarrett - Intercontinental Title

In Autumn 1999 Jeff Jarrett was on a crusade against women wrestling in the WWE. He basically went around promoting the opinion that women should not be anywhere near the ring and should instead be cooking, cleaning or making babies. It was pretty close to the bone stuff, but Jarrett played the role wonderfully, and his obnoxious behaviour got him over as a heel in a big way. One woman who took umbrage with Jarrett's opinions and could physically handle herself in the ring was Chyna. The Ninth Wonder of the World was booked against Jarrett in an IC Title at Unforgiven but, in order to continue Jarrett's sexist gimmick, this time around he would refuse to wrestle her, insisting he would rather go back home than wrestle an undeserving woman. In fact, he'd go as far as to say he'd rather defend the title against anyone else on the roster and was issuing an open challenge, whether it be Doink the Clown or the Brooklyn Brawler, all were welcome. Cue hellfire and brimstone and Kane arrives. After an eight minute match, Jarrett hits Kane with a low blow to force the DQ but after the match Chyna comes in and low blows Jarrett before Kane finishes him off with a chokeslam.
