WWE has confirmed that Roman Reigns will appear on tonight's Raw.

The former WWE Champion has been absent from television over recent weeks owing to an illness he picked up on the eve of last month's Tables, Ladders & Chairs.

It was originally reported that he would be out of action until after Survivor Series, but his earlier-than-expected return could now see him play a role in Sunday's show.

After Jason Jordan took the final spot on Kurt Angle's five-man team - which, we're told, was originally meant for The Big Dog - Roman is not currently scheduled to be involved in any official capacity.

However, with WWE promising another Shield "reunion" on Monday, it seems unlikely that the trio will be left off the event altogether - regardless of whether they find their way into a match in time.

Raw this week will also see an appearance in some capacity from Brock Lesnar, who is expected to address the prospect of facing AJ Styles at Survivor Series after the Phenomenal One's shock title win on SmackDown.

Additionally, Bayley, Mickie James and Dana Brooke will contest a triple threat match, with the winner joining Team Raw in Sunday's female elimination match.
