Sting To WWE: 10 Ways To Book His Debut Now Undertaker Has Gone

Sting signing with WWE is a done deal according to the Wrestling Observer. Despite this great news, the WCW icon isn't expected to make his TV debut for some time yet. One reason for this delay could be the shock loss of The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30. The long rumoured plan for Sting's WWE debut had him coming in to set up a special one-off match against Taker at WrestleMania 31. These long term plans now look to be in tatters, it very much looked like we saw the last effort of an exhausted performer in Taker's losing Mania effort. If he had been fit enough to continue wrestling, perhaps we would have seen Sting debut on the post-Mania Raw to challenge the streak for 31. Not now. The WCW icon vs WWF icon is over just like the streak. So what do WWE do with Sting now that the Undertaker match is probably off the cards? There's a whole host of possibilities. Several creative scenarios and enticing matches are still on the table for Sting. As the biggest name never to have competed in WWE, his name would be marquee quality against a whole range of people. His claim to fame is that he achieved a three decade wrestling legacy without ever doing business under the WWE banner, just the sight of him in a McMahon ring is going to be special. Could the Undertaker match still happen? Unlikely. Dave Meltzer says this about Taker's future "McMahon thought, and was probably correct, that he had no more streak matches left. And he may not have really had this one left in his body." So here are the 10 alternatives for Sting, starting with the scenario the Observer discusses as a possible new match for WrestleMania 31...
