Sting To WWE Latest - No Contract Officially Signed

Sting has not yet signed with WWE. F4wonline reports that the former WCW icon has not yet put pen to paper on the deal, despite receiving the contract from WWE. This marks the latest twist in a deal which has gone back and forth in reports since the Stinger left TNA in January. Even before he left TNA he was being touted as an all but done deal for WWE, he was first rumoured for a debut at the Network Launch Raw in February, and then predicted for an appearance at WrestleMania 30 or the post-Mania Raw. All that speculation has proved unfounded, all those who announced him as signed were mis-informed. These negotiations have proved far more protracted than anyone ever expected. Regardless, WWE has been working under the assumption since WrestleMania that Sting will be joining the company. He has been sent the contract and will presumably sign it in the near future. Could he be having second thoughts by not having returned his signature yet? The assumption is it will be a matter of time, but perhaps the shock death of Ultimate Warrior has caused a brief moment of reflection. Sting and Warrior started out in the business together, seeing how Warrior went back after resisting for so long and then died could have had some sort of psychological effect you could speculate. The probability is this is nothing more than a time issue. The deal is worked out and on the table, now we are just waiting on Sting to sign it.
