The Rock's WrestleMania 41 Involvement 'Still Up In The Air'?! (WWE News)
Dave Meltzer claims there's more happening behind the scenes in WWE than people know.

Dave Meltzer claimed on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that an internal source inside WWE told him, "It's what you think" regarding The Rock's involvement at WrestleMania 41 next month. That's obviously very vague, but it's something the Observer chief is pointing to whilst suggesting that the company's creative squad might not have everything ironed out with their 'Final Boss' just yet.
However, in a similarly vague follow up, Meltzer admitted he's still uncertain about exactly what Rock will be doing in Las Vegas. Detractors who have been having a field day on social media about recent Observer claims will surely run with that too. In fairness, even Dave himself has hinted that WWE knows exactly what they're doing with the wider wrestling media these days.
He says the promotion would deny claims even if they were bang on the money.
Meltzer is basically suggesting that more is going on behind the scenes surrounding 'Mania than WWE wants fans to believe. There had been rumours about The Rock missing the bumper April weekender completely as recently as a few months ago. His Hollywood schedule is tight, but it does look like both sides have been able to thrash out some sort of agreement.
Rock aided John Cena in turning heel at Elimination Chamber: Toronto in early-March, so he's a key figure in the upcoming title showdown between Cena and current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. A lot of folks would be left disappointed if 'The Great One' was posted missing between 19-20 April, put it that way.
Meltzer Points Out The Rock's Absence From Recent WWE Promos

Part of Meltzer's argument suggesting not everything is set for 'Mania involves The Rock's absence from recent promos on TV. Not many expected Rock to show up on Raw or SmackDown every single week during the build towards Las Vegas, but he's barely been mentioned whenever Cody Rhodes or John Cena have been talking over the live mic.
That's interesting.
Most of the focus has been placed on Cody avenging Cena's treachery and John himself blaming WWE fans on Raw for forcing him to be something he wasn't for decades. Rocky's own story has been shelved, at least temporarily, but there's always time for that to roar back into view before Triple H and his company screeches into Allegiant Stadium next month.
It's fascinating to think that WWE is still playing a guessing game with The Rock this close to WrestleMania 41. It's also kinda hard to believe, but there is a strong enough story going on between Cody and Cena to make Rocky more of a bit part player if need be. Perhaps the writing team has formatted recent TV promos as a sneaky contingency plan?
Meltzer has his suspicions about it all.
