TNA Weekly Review: 21/2/13

TNA_Impact_Wrestling_0008 Once again we make the return to the Impact Zone, and what do we have in store on the road towards Lockdown on March 10. It is the final night in the UK, and hopefully TNA will leave it in style with their own brand of quality wrestling and storytelling. Tonight will see more championship action for the lucky British fans, as Rob Van Dam defends his X Division Championship against the supremely confident Kenny King, and Tara has her back against the wall when she has to defend her TNA Knockouts' Championship against three hungry challengers, namely Gail Kim, Brooke Tessmacher and Velvet Sky, in a four-way elimination match. In addition to the championship action, we will see if Hulk Hogan finally gets the opportunity to name the Number One Contender for Jeff Hardy's World Championship, or will he once again be interrupted by the force of Aces & Eights. With eight competitors battling for his approval last week, and his daughter Brooke's haggling for Bully Ray's chances, it seems that Hogan will have quite a decision to make. Also, with Lethal Lockdown being built as one of the premier events of the upcoming PPV, will the two sides of Aces & Eights and Sting's Army become more clear as both prepare for their 4-on-4 battle inside the cage. So enough speculation, and let's get down to the action (and by that I mean a person talking for the first ten minutes, like every other show).

Hogan Finally Makes Up His Mind

http://youtu.be/coPeCjPiqOw The general manager of TNA Hulk Hogan makes his way to the ring to the great cheer and applause from the greatly appreciative British crowd. Hogan immediately shows his gratitude for the reaction that the crowds have given him every week in England, and suggests that this could be his new home. He'd definitely have to invest in a tanning bed if that were to happen. But, the real business at hand is who he will finally choose to be the next Number One Contender to Jeff Hardy's World Heavyweight Championship, after his announcement last week was interrupted by the appearance of Aces & Eights around ringside. Hogan's announcement states that Bully Ray is the only man that should go on to face Hardy for the title, and brings out his son-in-law to a strong reaction to the crowd. As he didn't compete to earn his spot in this match, it appears that Hogan had his ear bent by the presence of his daughter. Bully says that even though he was injured in the tables match a fortnight ago, he says that to make his new "daddy" proud, he is more than ready to take the title for him and his wife. Then, after sucking up to the crowd a little more, Bully comes up with the idea of a six-man tag team match for the main event, between three members of the Aces & Eights, and their opponents of himself, Sting and the Hulkster himself. Hogan agrees to the proposal, and it appears that the British crowd will get to witness the Atomic Leg Drop live and in person. Let's hope his leg doesn't fall off in the process.
