WWE: 10 Greatest Superstars That Never Won The World Title

jake roberts This question is pretty straight forward but I will give just a brief explanation anyway. Who, during any era of WWE should have been World Champion and why? Obviously they have to have never been WWE champ before. There are many great choices and this is a list of ten people I belive should have had their names written in the history books with the likes of Buddy Rodgers, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, etc. I'll preface this saying these are obviously just my opinions, and I'm sure plenty will disagree. And I also mean no disrespect to any wrestlers; if I mention anything perceived as "negative", it's simply trying to rationalize why on earth they would never have won a world title. Here goes:

10. Jushin Liger

jushin liger Considered a true pioneer of the junior heavyweights/cruiserweights, he's accomplished a lot in his career, but never held the top title (in his weight class, many times, but never a true WORLD Championship). With wrestlers like Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Rey Mysterio holding World Titles in WWE, it's pretty funny looking back that a man who played a big part in the careers of all three of these legends and is a huge legend in his own right never held a company's top belt. You could argue winning the Super J Cup and holding the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship is as good as a World Heavyweight Title, but IMHO, he's never been at the top of a company simply because of his size.
