WWE: 10 Most Likely Future WrestleMania Main-Eventers
9. Dolph Ziggler
Im just going to say Dolph Ziggler main-eventing a WrestleMania is highly unlikely at this point. Unlikely, but still possible. Just a couple of years ago, he seemed like a sure-fire choice to become a big star for WWE. In 2011, you probably wouldnt have guessed that in 2014 hed be stuck in a battle royal at WrestleMania, and then engage in a feud with a guy dressed up as Magneto. Despite his recent on-air history, Dolph still has a lot going for him. He has a good look, and possesses incredible athletic ability, but he isnt quite the complete package. He desperately needs to find himself as a character. Hes a weird mish-mash of a bunch of things that cant possibly bring him to the next level. For starters, hes dressed in eye-straining attire, and sounds like hes stuck in the 80s. Its not a good gimmick for a top level character, or any character really. Hes hard to hate or rally behind because hes just kind of goofy. WWE had something when he was aligned with AJ Lee and Big E, but its been downhill ever since they disbanded. At 33-years-old, Dolph still has some time to find himself, but time may be running a little short. With all the crazy flat-back bumps hes taken over his career, he may find himself physically beaten down far sooner than some of his fellow colleagues who are around his age. If Dolph can finally find a hook to his act, theres no stopping him from rising to the top of the card, and finally showing the world that he can main-event a WrestleMania.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
