WWE: 10 Things That Must Happen In The Undertaker Vs Brock Lesnar Feud

#22 is Brock Lesnar. Done properly, they have an all-time classic on their hands. Truth be told, WWE could phone this one in and have a decent shot at a Match of the Year candidate. It's Wrestlemania. It's The Streak. It's Brock Lesnar. This match sells itself and short of WWE's booking reaching categorically catastrophic proportions- build-up involving 'Taker vs. Paul Heyman in an Evening Gown Match perhaps, or adding a Hair vs. Hair stipulation to the match at 'Mania- this one's going to be good at the bare minimum. If they want it to be great, if they want a bout truly worthy of the main event slot at the 30th edition of pro-wrestling's grandest extravaganza, there's a few things they'll be needing to do. In the build-up to their match at Summerslam, CM Punk said of Brock Lesnar, and I paraphrase: "He's a unique challenge. A totally different beast," and he is. Brock Lesnar brings more legitimate shoot-fight intimidation than perhaps anyone in WWE history and it's the reason why he can simply show up after months away at a time, stand still, doing nothing and still remain over with the crowd. It also presents a different kind of challenge to Undertaker's Streak than ever seen before and a different challenge demands different booking. The ultimate success of this match at the highest standard hinges on WWE going the extra mile to astutely 'get over' the following two factors about this match, that have been missing from Undertaker Streak matches in previous years: 1) Undertaker himself has a steak in winning this match, other than defending his undefeated streak. 2) For the first time, this match isn't about how the challenger can find a way to defeat The Streak, it's about how Undertaker can find a way to defeat Brock Lesnar. There's a critical difference in that second one. Going back to Randy Orton at 'Mania 21, the story has always been the same: "All these prior to you have failed, how will you be any different?" The idea has always been that the challenger is the overwhelming underdog facing the gravest challenge. With this match, it needs to be reversed. It needs to be: "Look at all these previous examples of those who've failed to beat Brock Lesnar, how will you be any different?" Because if you're not, your Streak is over. Going into Wrestlemania, successfully installing this mentality into the mainstream audience asks an unspoken question to be established as the status quo, going into the match: How can this match possibly end with the Streak intact? Here's ten things WWE can do to achieve this status quo...
