The Attitude Era is seen by many as the best and most fun period in WWE history. Because of this, every year many fans use the creation features in WWE games to make their favourite stars, arenas, etc. that aren’t included in the game.
This year, WWE 13 will feature the Attitude era strongly, allowing fans to relive this popular era in WWE. But which storylines will be featured specifically? We’ve chosen eight that we think are essential and gave them a bit of fantasy booking for the upcoming game. For the record, I would have included Jericho vs. Benoit, but for fairly obvious reasons, Benoit won’t be included in the game.
1. Tyson vs. Austin
Let’s get the obvious one out of the way first. We all know that Mike Tyson is going to feature in WWE 13, we’ve all seen the adverts and we’ve all seen him in his DX Attire. This means that they will almost definitely include Tyson’s early 1998 storyline with DX and Austin.
Vince McMahon unveiled Tyson on a memorable Raw episode in January as a special guest for WrestleMania 14. Immediately, Stone Cold Steve Austin took offense to Tyson being labeled as “the Baddest Man on the Planet.” This extended storyline could work as almost a January to March “Road to WrestleMania’” for Stone Cold, running through the events that led up to Austin vs. HBK at WrestleMania 14.
This would include having to win the 1998 Royal Rumble and taking part in various angles and matches on Raw like Austin’s real life matches in this period against Kane and the Road Dogg. This would also let fans relive the main event of the PPV before WrestleMania, No Way Out in Texas, provided they shape around a few other wrestlers.
This would all of course lead to the big WWE Title match between Austin and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania with Mike Tyson as the Special Guest Enforcer. Although a strong storyline by itself, this could also be included as part of a much larger Austin vs. McMahon storyline, which we’ll get to later.

One I would love to have but won’t happen due to people being in other companies: Hardys vs. E & C vs. Dudley Boyz
Regarded as the “Golden Age” of tag team wrestling for the attitude era, this feud is one of the best not only of it’s era, but of all time in terms of tag teams. Who wouldn’t want to do a 2 vs 2 vs 2 TLC match with them with the new physics?
Dudleyz contracted to TNA so it ain’t possible, sadly.
Big Bossmans vs Al Snow ? :P
I hope they have the WM15 promo music, this will give the rivalries the real feel of the wwf (not wwe what is that) the federation days had superstars interupting matches randomly left from right, it kept us tuned in and anxiuos for the next show, add this feature. finally PLEASE add al snow,steve blackmon,dlo brown, rick rude he is an original member of DX, mideon,vicera,acolytes,all hollys (hardcore,crash,and molly)headbangers,midnight express,the hardys,the dudleys,e & c,and of course gangrel,jeff jarrett,the hart foundation,the corporation, and the radicals
Would be amazing if they included the storyline where they revealed vince as the higher power, i know it was intertwined with austin vs mcmahon but it was workin on so many levels at the time it was really interesting to watch it unfold

First of all, if WWE 13 doesn’t have 2 vs. 2. vs. 2 matches (ladder, tornado tag, table) with elimination options then i’m going to be extremely disappointed. Make the create a match more advanced and let us actually make way more possibilities (more tornado tag, 2vs2vs2, elimination, and 6 man tag matches)
Top Feuds NEEDED :
1) Edge and Christian vs. Hardys vs. Dudley Boys
2) Val Venis vs. Dlo Brown
3) Chyna vs. Chris Jericho or ivory (for womens story)
4) Trish vs. Lita
5) Test and Albert and Trish vs. Hardy boys and Lita
6) Brood (Edge, Gangrel, Christian) vs. Ministry (Viscera, Faroque, Bradshaw)
PLEASE focus on the important things for this game to be successful :
1) Focus on making this an attitude fan’s dream game and have tons of surprises and new attitude nuances :)
2) Make gameplay smoother.
- A.I
- Tag Match gameplay
- Pin System (either make it better or give alternative.. this year it was horrible people were always fine with button mashing nobody complained. nobody wants to put effort into pinning they want to tap like crazy hoping they can kick out cause when u do its so rewarding it gets your heart racing, TRUST ive played since smackdown on ps1)
- have alternative attires/versions (So have like different era rocks (1997, 1999, and 2001) or Triple H (HHH with Chyna 1996, HHH (DX) 1998, The Game Triple H 2001)
- Make downloading caws and content easier
- Have different arenas specific for attitude (IMPORTANT*)
– summerslam 1999/2000 , Raw is War 1999 , Smackdown 2000 , Backlash 2000, Royal Rumble 1998/2000 , King of the ring 1998
PLEASE JUST MAKE THIS FREAKING GOOD THQ we’ve been waiting for this game since No Mercy ! Try and include more key characters especially: Val Venis, Chyna, Dlo Brown, Debra, Al Snow, Gangrel, Hardy Boys, Dudley Boys
ALL OF THESE SHOULD BE IN THE GAME IF IT’S TO REALLY FEEL LIKE AN ATTITUDE GAME, just look at those names alone and you legit have the attitude era feel. They were all part of the opening montage for raw is war so its weird that none are confirmed for the game.. crossing my fingers
