Sheamus is doing a fantastic job as the current World Heavyweight Champion and there really is no reason for him to drop the belt any time soon. His recent matches with Dolph Ziggler have been nothing short of fantastic and he is starting to get as the huge star he has always threatened to be.
But, all championship reigns have to end at some point and the question is: Who is going to be the next World Heavyweight Champion?
If it is going to be the winner of the Money in the Bank then the match needs more star quality adding as currently none of the 5 participants look like eligible title holders.
Damien Sandow is too new on the scene and hasn’t had a credible feud as of yet and isn’t ready.
Tyson Kidd hasn’t done much at all within the company for years and despite his recent push and obvious talents, it is probably too early again for him.
Christian has credibility but his time to be World Heavyweight champion has come and gone and they are unlikely to have the Intercontinetal Champion win the match.
Santino Marella is a comedy act therefore resulting in him not being a serious contender and Matt Bloom has simply not done enough since his return as Tensai.
The next World Heavyweight Champion should be one of these 4:
1. Alberto Del Rio
Always inserted into the World Heavyweight Title picture when WWE are in need of a main event and was recently moved to Smackdown to specifically compete for the title. His last Championship reigns didn’t last extremely long as CM Punk’s ascension to the top of the company could not be halted.
Del Rio is scheduled to wrestle Sheamus at WWE Money in the Bank later this month and is one of the few credible potential World Heavyweight Champion on SmackDown.
2. Dolph Ziggler
One of the best talents that WWE have at the moment! Definitely in need of a Championship reign to get him out of the mid card and excel him to the top.
He has all of the attributes to be a fantastic champion, all he needs is some better mic skills but this could be helped by possibly Ric Flair coming in to be his manager, which has been discussed.
Dolph is not currently scheduled for the Money in the Bank World Title contract match but we expect him to find a way.

bit harsh
Ziggler and Del Rio are definitely world championship material though Barrett and Rhodes feel like midcarders to me. Maybe it’s just the way they’ve been handled.
Ziggler… Definitely.
Del rio… Not so sure, I just can’t warm to him
You’re not alone there Andrew. Guy just can’t get a rapport going with the crowd at all. A shame as he’s one of my favourites in the ring and on the mic and I’d love to see him draw some meaningful heat.
Not a heel but I would definitely throw Kofi Kingston into that bunch. The guy has been over since he bloody debuted, is very good in the ring and if it wasn’t for Vince’s reluctance to have a black guy at the top of the food chain, he would’ve gone over Orton in 2009 and eventually gone onto become either WWE or World Champ. Unfortunately he seems doomed to be in mid-card hell for his entire career. Hopefully he has a Christian at Extreme Rules 2011 moment where he eventually wins the World Title after a long and established career. Kofi deserves it.
i think randy should be the world campion
