WWE: 8 Ways Elimination Chamber Devalued Wrestlemania 30
The WWE Elimination Chamber pay per view was meant to be WWE's big chance to correct course ahead of Wrestlemania 30. The problem going into the event was well documented, fans were sick of Daniel Bryan being overlooked for the WWE title. The insult to injury was made further when the returning Dave Batista won the 2014 Royal Rumble. How could the 45 year old who left WWE for four years walk into the Mania main event ahead of the hottest new star in the company? You would hope that WWE learned from the Rumble fan backlash and corrected the error at Elimination Chamber, but once again the company has booked a narrative that devalues Wrestlemania 30. The morning after the February PPV we should have had a solid idea of what Wrestlemania will be, we should be looking forward to it. Instead, on this the Network launch date, we the fans remain as pessimistic as ever. If anything the Elimination Chamber event as a whole has further devalued Wrestlemania 30.
