8. The Diva Division Is Dead
The WWE diva division has long been in trouble, but Elimination Chamber put the exclamation mark on just how dead women's wrestling is in WWE. After the atrocious effort between AJ Lee and Cameron last night, WWE should in no way consider having a diva match at Mania 30. Far from enhancing the New Orleans show, a diva contest would only serve to detract from the event satisfaction. Literally it will devalue the Wrestlemania product, that's how bad the standard of wrestling is right now from the Diva locker room. The Elimination Chamber booking exposed the problems. WWE put Cameron against AJ even though no one cared for the cheer leading star. No one is relevant enough among the divas to justify a PPV spot. The company could have featured a male wrestler contest and put Ziggler, Sandow, Rhodes, anybody in the ten minute filler role. Instead we got a none-feud between two women who badly botched just about every move and timing they had to think about. There are no viable opponents left for AJ. Her reign has gone on so long that fans have lost interest and the standard of action has became so poor that WWE really shouldn't bother any more. This modern day diva wrestling isn't a shadow on Trish Stratus or Mickie James. It's a hopeless cause and WWE should retire the title and stop booking diva matches altogether. Instead they look to be about to sully Wrestlemania 30 with AJ Lee versus Naomi or Tamina Snuka if last night is anything to go off.
