WWE Confiscated MJF Sign On Last Night's SmackDown

They also binned one reading 'SAVE US HHH'.

WWE adopted some decidedly Stalinist tactics during last night's episode of SmackDown, when belligerent security staff at Tulsa, OK's BOK Center were instructed to remove certain signs from the audience.

During Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens' promos, one prominent fan front and centre of the camera waved a placard which read, "YOU AREN'T MJF." For those living under the proverbial geological feature, MJF is one of the stars of rival promotion AEW and Being the Elite. He made something of a star of himself at Saturday's Double or Nothing when he interrupted Bret Hart's championship reveal.

Once the sign appeared on screen, the man himself Tweeted an acknowledgement:

Shortly after, the incendiary sign was confiscated by staff and discarded.

A similar fate befell a cardboard call-out which read 'SAVE US HHH', an obvious plea for the NXT honcho to oust his father-in-law's iron grip on an increasingly erratic product.

We can't help but imagine Hunter, allegedly the most frustrated man in WWE, enjoyed a little private chuckle to himself before the sign was incinerated.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
