WWE Move The Rock To Current Roster - Return Imminent?

The Rock expected to headline WrestleMania 32.

The Rock has been moved from the alumni section to the current wrestler section on the WWE Shop website. This could be interpreted as preparation for The Rock returning soon and ensuring WWE Shop is ready to push his merchandise. The expectation from insiders is that The Rock is pencilled in for WrestleMania 32's headline spot next April. He'll be wrestling Triple H, in a match that is designed to have mass market appeal. Certainly from a nostalgia perspective, the match will hopefully generate some Network sales to fans who stopped watching WWE when the Attitude Era ended. By doing The Rock and Triple H again, it is the Attitude Era revisited, as they were the two biggest stars in WWE's peak 2000 year. The wheels are already in motion, following on from a segment on Smackdown in October 2014, and the sensational segment they shared at this year's WrestleMania 31. With The Rock now being moved to WWE Shop's current roster, perhaps another segment is imminent. It isn't unusual for WWE's biggest Mania matches to have narratives that start around Survivor Series, so perhaps that will be the date The Rock comes home to WWE. His merchandise is always a hot seller, no doubt several lines are already in production, which would explain the WWE Shop move.
