WWE Payback Results Predictions

Payback 2014 WWE Payback takes place this weekend, with the key sell being a rematch of The Shield vs Evolution. That's proving a point of derision for some fans, who view the pay per view as a lazy and contrived effort. That assertion is backed up with the fact that we have yet another rematch as the co-main event, John Cena vs Bray Wyatt going into battle once again. The problem for WWE is that the Cena / Wyatt bout has passed it's sell by date, the feud started in January, it's now June and the initial enthusiasm has been drained. The main event of Evolution vs The Shield is also problematic, we already seen the Shield dispatch of Evolution at Extreme Rules, so there's really no need for another match. Despite these criticisms, current WhatCulture research illustrates that fans still have an interest in watching Payback: in a sample of 344 people, 37% of you told us that you'll be watching on the Network, with 26% more of you tuning in on pay per view. The reason fans are intrigued is perhaps down to the potential of the gimmicks. The Shield match will be 'no holds barred' elimination rules, with the Cena match being a 'last man standing' battle. To be fair to WWE, they couldn't have booked much better, with the untimely Daniel Bryan neck injury leaving them without a WWE title match. Although there are some low expectations, that can sometimes mean the show ends up a pleasantly surprising great night. Here we look at the results predictions for what we expect to go down at Payback.
