WWE Planning A Kurt Angle-Triple H Match
Are the wheels already in motion?
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has plans to put Raw General Manager Kurt Angle back in the ring, and the company has already lined up an opponent for him - none other than Triple H.
For the past few weeks, WWE has been building up a storyline where Raw color commentator Corey Graves has been on the receiving end of some sensitive information regarding Angle. Though Graves and Angle have discussed it, the details have yet to be revealed to the public. It is likely that this angle could put the pieces in play for the eventual Angle-HHH match, possibly by setting the stage for Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon to return to her post. Both she and Triple H have been off TV since WrestleMania 33.
Angle and Triple H worked together a number of times during the Olympic Gold Medalist's first tenure with WWE, most notably during the infamous "love triangle" storyline. When Angle enlisted Stephanie McMahon as his manager, it seemed to drive a wedge between McMahon and on-screen husband Triple H.
Though it looked like a babyface turn was in the works for "The Game," the program abruptly ended when Stephanie turned on Angle to help HHH, and the pair soon reigned as top heels once more.
