WWE: Randy Orton's Attitude Over Suspension infuriates Vince McMahon

McMahon is livid with Orton as he has been so "outspokenly indifferent" to his lengthy suspension, not seeing it as a big deal.

As speculation grows that Randy Orton's future as a WWE superstar looks particularly bleak and that he could be fired this summer, F4WOnline.com reported on Tuesday that Vince McMahon is extremely unhappy with Orton's attitude since his suspension. "The Viper" was suspended for 60 days on May 30th for his second violation of the WWE Wellness Policy which angered WWE officials as they had plans to push him into the World Title picture, culminating in a match with Sheamus at WWE SummerSlam. The word is they rushed through his suspension so soon after he failed the drug test, they would still have the option of using Orton on August 19th for the second biggest pay-per-view of the year. Reports are however that McMahon is livid with Orton as he has been so "outspokenly indifferent" to his lengthy suspension, not seeing it as a big deal. In the days after Orton's WWE suspension there was an unnamed incident that infuriated McMahon and this led to the recent discussions of Orton not being brought back at all after his suspension concludes and that he could be fired imminently. We reported previously that former WCW announcer Mark Madden stated on Twitter that WWE were looking to fire Orton believing that he had become too difficult to work with, was no longer trust worthy for big pushes and that his value as a performer had diminished with the ascension of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan along long-time company stalwart John Cena. There is also speculation that Orton's passion for the business has diminished after years of being on top. He has saved enough money on his high salary to live comfortably for several years without any financial concerns and his wife Samantha is from a wealthy background, so he would likely take an extended break to recharge the batteries if WWE didn't bring him straight back into the fold at his suspension ends. This would also help him overcome the numerous injuries he has sustained over the years with suggestions that his neck and spine problems are causing his body to break down. One suggestion that could happen is allowing Orton to take an unofficial "1 year unpaid sabbatical/officially 1 year suspension" to return in the summer of 2013 however most people believe that WWE will eventually concede that Orton is more valuable in the company than elsewhere and that his time away from the ring 'isn't going to be that big a problem' in the long run. Orton is currently contracted to WWE until 2020, signing a lucrative ten year contract with the company in January 2010.
