WWE: Ranking 5 Best & Worst Belt Designs In WWE History

divas title There is nothing grander as a wrestler than being crowned a champion within any organisation you perform for. No matter if it€™s a small indy promotion or one of the top companies in the world, being a champion means you represent the company in some way, shape or form. The title is what you carry above your head but the belt is what you carry in your luggage and the design of these belts can either make or break the title. Over the years we have seen dozens of belt designs come and go, either replacing an old design or starting a new title. Some have been superb designs with much symbolism to represent the champion€™s regal image. Others have been toilets! With the debate over the newest WWE Championship design still raging on regarding whether it is the worst belt design in history, here at WhatCultre we have decided to rank the best and worst belt designs throughout modern history. Naturally in the very early years of wrestling when Vince senior was the promoter of the New York area and not the behemoth that his son made the WWE, belt designs were a much simpler affair. Presumably as the technology to create beautiful plates wasn€™t freely available so you won€™t see anything prior to the 80€™s in this list. Just to be fair ya know! What also won€™t be included are belts that were passed on from the big E€™s acquisition of WCW such as the World Heavyweight Championship big gold boy etc seeing as WWE had no design input and, if I€™m honest, WCW had some lovely looking belts but not quite as nice or as bad as the ones to follow. What follows are 5 of the worst designs followed by the 5 most beautiful belts in WWE history. Enjoy.
