WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 10 Allies Who Will Fall Out

Royal Rumble 2014 Poster During Royal Rumble season, the phrase "Every man for himself" gets tossed around like a hot potato. Though alliances are made in service of double- or triple-teaming someone over the top rope, those alliances are easily broken in the interests of self-preservation. But what about the alliances formed before the bell has even rung? With so much history that is the foundation of WWE, wrestlers are bound to face a former tag partner, mentor, or €“ most compelling of all €“ a friend. As thrilling as it is to guess at which Superstar will make the final elimination, it's just as exciting to predict whose paths will cross on the way to that big moment. Good guys versus bad guys is all well and good, but the proverbial colour of your boots matters not in the Royal Rumble. When a spot in the main event at WrestleMania is at stake, a man's (or woman's!) true colours shine through. We have some obvious opportunities for broken alliances: how many of those big stories will be told on Sunday? We also have numerous scenarios in which some unexpected bonds will be broken. Let's explore the myriad ways this game can be played, when it's every man for himself! You may also want to follow me on twitter @kickyhick as I am literally on the road to the Royal Rumble!
