10. The Shield

The disintegration of The Shield has been a delightfully slow process. So often, teams implode based on a single mistake made in the ring a missed tag or an accidental kick. But no so here. The Shield has only been a faction for 14 months, but they've accrued near-unanimous praise from fans (such unity amongst wrestling fans being a rare thing indeed). The Shield's cool factor never wore off, they only got better, and everyone developed a favorite of the three. Given The Shield's satisfying run so far, their methodical undoing has been a joy to behold. Pride goeth before destruction, and the toxic seed of hubris was planted months ago in The Shield. Week after week, the three men began to wonder which of them was the most superior. Sometimes the questioning came from an outside party, and sometimes you could see the question weighing heavy from within. They've teased a Roman Reigns mutiny, booking him to look like a shining star who's tired of taking a backseat to more vocal Dean Ambrose. They've teased a Dean Ambrose meltdown, as his cocky demeanor has lately been shaken, and he's appeared increasingly disheveled and uncertain. But is Seth Rollins the real wild card, the one who takes all the bumps and may be just biding his time? All signs point to The Shield's break-up; the question is, who will be the one to do the deed?
