WWE Rumour: Sheamus Out With A Concussion?

The Irishman missed WWE's tour of Australia this week.

Sheamus missed WWE's tour of Australia this week because he's dealing with a concussion, reports Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline. Meltzer said that it hasn't been officially diagnosed by WWE, but that was the talk among other wrestlers. While the concussion was not confirmed by WWE, it is possible that it occurred during the six man tag match on Raw. There was a point in the match where a ringside doctor spoke to Sheamus, so they likely spotted it when it happened. Sheamus continued in the match and ended up getting pinned after a Spear from Roman Reigns.

It has been company policy to not disclose details of injuries this year. Back in April, Daniel Bryan was sent home from the European tour due to a concussion, which is why he's still out of action now. WWE sent out statements at the time saying that it wasn't true. Then about one month ago while promoting his book, Bryan talked about the concussion, which shows that WWE tries to keep them quiet because of lawsuits filed by former WWE performers. Sheamus, who is likely scheduled to face Randy Orton in a match at SummerSlam (it's not official yet), is the Money in the Bank briefcase holder and one of the top heels in WWE. There have been a lot of WWE injuries of late and they really can't afford to lose Sheamus for any length of time, so it's smart of WWE to send him home as a precaution. There's no word on when Sheamus might be back. It could be as soon as Monday on Raw if it was only considered a minor injury. https://twitter.com/WWESheamus/status/629690115334504448
