WWE Smackdown Spoilers 18/10/11 - Big Show vs Alberto Del Rio

After the WWE Raw taping on Saturday night comes the WWE Smackdown taped show from Mexico City. Here's our report; Show starts with WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio talking up a historic SmackDown but he isn't in the mood for competing tonight. Cue Teddy Long who says he will wrestle tonight against The Big Show in a non-title contest! 1) Non Title-Match - WWE World Champion Mark Henry defeated John Morrison Henry won with the World's Strongest Slam. Teddy Long announces the match we all expected for Vengeance as Christian vs. Sheamus is announced. Strangely he also said Zack Ryder would wrestle Dolph Ziggler for the U.S. Title at Vengeance, which means the WWE Tag Titles match announced on Raw for the PPV (that was Air Boom vs. Ziggler & Swagger) must either have changed or Ziggler is doing double duty. 2) Wade Barrett defeated Daniel Bryan in what was a good match between two workers who deserve better right now. 3) Sheamus & Zack Ryder beat Christian and Dolph Ziggler. Crowd were supposed to be really into the babyfaces and it made for an excellent contest. Cody Rhodes and baggers come to the run to cut out promo on Randy Orton to build-up their match at Vengeance PPV. Orton comes out and hits RKO on Cody's lackies. 4) Sin Cara Azul defeated Sin Cara Negro in a Mask vs. Mask match. The original Sin Cara (Mistico) used the LA Mistica to win in a match that unsurprisingly was totally over with the crowd. Said to be a really great match. In what may not be shown live, Triple H and Carlos Cabrera announced Mil Mascaras (who came out to massive ovation) as the first entry into the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame. Beth Phoenix and Natalya came out to talk about Beth's WWE Divas match against Eve Torres at Vengeance. Eve comes out and hits Beth before fleeing the ring. 5) The Big Show defeated Alberto Del Rio by DQ in Non-Title Main Event Ricardo Rodriguez interfered. Mark Henry came down but Big Show stopped him from getting into the ring and they both stared each other down. That was the go-home show ladies and gents for next week's WWE Vengeance PPV.
