WWE Smackdown Spoilers Results (May 26)

The main event is a rematch from Raw.

WWE taped Smackdown last night in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It is the last show before WWE Elimination Chamber and it appears that no matches were added for Sunday's event. Here are the results from the show. There were two notable dark matches that won't air with NXT Champion Kevin Owens beating R-Truth prior to the Main Event taping. Prior to Smackdown taking place, NXT diva Charlotte beat Alicia Fox. Smackdown began with a promo from Dean Ambrose hyping up his WWE Title match against Seth Rollins at Elimination Chamber on Sunday. There were no interruptions, so it was just a chance for Ambrose to fire up the crowd for his match with Rollins. Shortly after the Ambrose promo, a backstage segment aired where it was announced that Kane and Rollins would face Ambrose and Roman Reigns just like on Raw. Lucha Dragons beat Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in a Lumberjack match with Los Matadores, The Ascension, Prime Time Players and The New Day serving as the lumberjacks. Kalisto got the pin on Kidd after The New Day got involved. R-Truth beat King Barrett. After the match, Sheamus came out to hit them with Brogue kicks to establish his dominance in the IC Title match at Elimination Chamber. Lana was interviewed and said she was just friends with Ziggler. Rusev interrupted the interview leading to his match. Rusev beat Ryback by disqualification. Ryback lost the match by sending Rusev into the ring post. It sounds like a weak ending, so we'll see how it plays out. During the match, Rusev was selling a foot injury. After the match, Rusev was helped to the back by trainers. Paige beat Naomi. Tamina was at ringside, but Paige was able to take care of her and finished Naomi off with her Rampaige DDT. After the match, the Bellas appeared on the stage with Nikki holding up the Divas Title. Kevin Owens was interviewed by Michael Cole. Owens mentioned that he's wrestled for 15 years and that Cena has to prove that he can beat him. Clips were shown of Owens beating up his best friend Sami Zayn, so Owens said if he can do that to his best friend then imagine what he could do to Cena. The main event saw Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose beat Kane and Seth Rollins by disqualification after J&J Security interfered. There was a post match brawl with The New Day coming out to help the heels, but they were dropped by Reigns and Ambrose. That distraction allowed Kane and Rollins to get the momentum back and Rollins hit Ambrose with a Pedigree in what will likely be the end of Smackdown. Thanks to WrestlingInc for the results.
