10 Wrestling Jobbers So BIZARRE They Feel Made Up

4. ECW’s Zombie

Remember the ECW Zombie? Maybe you do/maybe you don't, but know this: His more common working name was Tim Arson. Yep, there was definitely plenty of Arson about when Vince McMahon lit the touch paper on Extreme Championship Wrestling's full-time comeback in 2006. It's quite the understatement to say that this wasn't Paul Heyman's original hardcore group.

Not even close, and the Zombie proved it.

He was only in the house to take numerous cane shots from The Sandman. That was it. What a crummy way to kick off ECW's reprise as a standalone weekly TV show though. This so-called undead warrior was in the first match of the ECW on Sci-Fi era - it lasted 19 seconds and ended with a win for Sandman. It kinda had to.

McMahon's flesh-eating creation was never seen again. No, not even when WWE brought some zombies back ito promote a Netflix movie during a match between Damian Priest and The Miz at WrestleMania Backlash in 2021. Apologies to anybody who has spent the last 5+ years trying to erase that from their brain box.

Quite why Vince thought this would keep returning/lapsed hardcore ECW enthusiasts glued to their screens is anyone's guess. The Sandman? Sure, but just keep tripe like 'The ECW Zombie' away from everything and it'll all be ok. It was bad enough that the day walker was on the revamped ECW to begin with, but putting him in the very first match on the show was a slap in the face to Heyman's creativity and the extreme legacy.
