3. New Jack In TNA

Stop the press.

New Jack literally carved out a reputation for himself as one of the most dangerous wrestlers in the business when he was running riot in ECW. Then, once Heyman's outfit bit the dust, Jack knew he'd have to get creative if he wanted to prolong his career. WWE wouldn't come near him, and opportunities were limited outside of carefully curated hardcore roles.

That's why it's such a shocker that TNA talked turkey with Jack. He actually worked for the promotion back in 2003 during the old weekly pay-per-view days, but it was a short and rather unremarkable stint given his reputation for chaos. Then, in 2010, New Jack appeared as part of TNA's ECW revivalist era.

He and (old partner in The Gangstas) Mustafa kicked lumps out of Team 3D and 'Quintessential Stud Muffin' Joe Gertner after Bubba and D-Von beat Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney (renamed Kahoneys for the occasion). WWE's One Night Stand this was not. TNA's ECW revival didn't quite garner the attention they'd hoped it would, and Jack quickly vanished from TV.

The borderline psychotic brawler then almost exclusively worked on the independent scene and gave several outrageous shoot interviews. At times, he appeared coherent, logical and self-aware. Then, in other moments, he'd say some wild stuff just to create headlines.

TNA were undoubtedly better off for distancing from Jack. It was only a matter of time before he did something ultra-violent that created corporate headaches for those in the offices. He simply couldn't be trusted to behave himself. ECW fans could've told them that.
