8 New Directions For WWE After Money In The Bank 2026
Penta coming for Sami Zayn? WWE babyface and heel turns aplenty? Hell In A Cell?!
Money In The Bank proved to be a perfectly acceptable addition to WWE's 2026 PLE calendar. It was never going to blow anybody away, but fans know what they're going to get from a stunt-based 'B' tier show like this by now. It's maybe just a pity that the sheen has come off those multi-person ladder matches - they're rather formulaic, and there's next to no inventiveness left to squeeze from the gimmick.
Even so, Penta represents a legitimately fresh face bothering those at the top table, and it does look like Triple H will book plenty of heel or babyface turns heading into the final few months of the year. That should, in theory, set things up nicely for WrestleMania 43 season. Speaking of which, what a challenge WWE's creative team has on their hands with Oba Femi.
He mentioned Roman Reigns during a post-show promo after beating Bronson Reed on the main card, and it's gonna be difficult to keep 'The Ruler' and the 'OTC' away from one another for much longer. Meanwhile, Reigns could well be turning his attention to an old bit of Bloodline in-fighting before joining The Usos and Solo Sikoa inside the double cage for WarGames at Survivor Series.
Here's absolutely everything MITB told us about where booking on Raw and SmackDown goes next. Obviously, this is all guesswork, but it's fun to play detective and piece together parts of the puzzle. Oh, before we forget, is Hell In A Cell about to make a return for the first time since SummerSlam?!
Don't rule it out. Don't rule any of this out!
8. Tiffany Stratton Turning On Chelsea Green
This writer decided to stamp his little feet when Tiffany Stratton tore down that MITB briefcase instead of Roxanne Perez. Y'see, yours truly had decided that Perez winning the case would've lowkey annoyed Liv Morgan and led to that much-needed Judgment Day split. That became much more pressing once Liv won the Women's World Title later on.
Most following events over on SmackDown will know that Tiffany's impending split story with bestie Chelsea Green doesn't really need Money In The Bank. WWE could've got there without it rather easily, but Hunter clearly felt like Stratton teasing cash-ins on Chelsea would up the champ's anxiety whilst she's being chased by Nikki Bella, Nia Jax and more.
Fair enough.
Thinking about it, Tiffy might imply going after Morgan’s Women’s World Title at first to tease that match, but it’s pretty clear that Stratton will go rogue on Chelsea at some point. That heel turn is overdue, and the boos Tiffany got when jousting with Roxanne at MITB prove it. There's something rather forced about her babyface act, and that's been the case for a while - all she really does is smile an insincere smile and yell her catchphrase.
We've sort of been here before with Stratton, albeit as a villain. She teased cashing in on her old pal Nia countless times before finally going for it, so expect something fairly similar for the remaining months of 2026 between Tiff and Green. Perhaps things will pan out differently for that Women's Title run sequel, eh? They might have to.
